Crispy Protein Bagels

Servings - 4

INGREDIENTS
All purpose flour - 300 grams
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Greek yogurt - 210 grams
Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
Kosher salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Black sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
White sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
Poppy seeds - 2 teaspoons 
Egg wash - for brushing

PREPARATION


1. In a bowl, add 300 grams all purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, and 210 grams of greek yogurt. Knead it into a dough.
2. Cover the dough with cling wrap and let it rest for 1 to 2 hours.
3. Take a portion of the prepared dough and roll it into a ball.
4. Place the ball on a board, roll it with your hands, and bring the edges together to form a bagel shape. (see video)
5. Transfer the shaped bagels to a baking tray and cover them with a cloth. Let them rest for 30 minutes.
6. In a bowl, add 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, 1 teaspoon black sesame seeds, 1 teaspoon white sesame seeds and 2 teaspoon poppy seeds. Mix well.
7. Brush the prepared bagels with egg wash.
8. Sprinkle the prepared seed mixture on top of the bagels.
9. Preheat the oven to 180°F/360°C and bake for about 15 - 18 minutes or until golden brown.
10. Remove from the oven.
11. Serve.
